About this place
Tea and cake, with the unhurried sound of records in the background: visitors on café days have said that this was a memorable way to spend time at CAFE MONTAGE. Music is part of the appeal, too. Some reviewers recall listening to classical and jazz records, and one found the spacing between tables comfortable and conducive to concentrating on the music.
There is more to drink than coffee, with plenty of teas to choose from. Options include Earl Grey French Blue, scented with bergamot, and For Relax, a blend featuring linden, chamomile and orange flower. For herbal flavours, try the non-alcoholic Gin Tonic Tea, made with rosemary, mint, lemongrass and lime. To accompany a drink, choose a rum-raisin sandwich or Tarte Au Fromage, a cheesecake specially baked by the pastry maker nowhereman.
For a lighter bite, add a mini plate of chocolate, nuts and dried fruit to a drink. The Vanille-Siciliana ice cream is also offered with a drink, making it an easy companion for tea or a pause to enjoy the music.
